The trade deadline is two weeks away and rumors abound regarding trades of pitchers — on other teams.
There has been much speculation about Zack Greinke, Ryan Dempster, Matt Garza, Francisco Liriano and Jonathan Broxton.
Very little about Brett Myers and Brandon Lyon and the rumor mill discussions are few and far between about Wandy Rodriguez. Weeks ago, Myers was at the forefront of the conversation as he burst out of the gate with saves in 16 of his first 17 opps on his way to a gaudy 1.99 ERA. Now that he's coming back to earth a bit in recent weeks, the third-year Astros' pitcher may not be as hot a commodity.

2013: $10 million club option ($3 million buyout).

Most onlookers believe the Astros will have to chip in some cash in order to send Myers packing this season. But the closer competition is stiff this month as Broxton, Francisco Rodriguez and Huston Street may be considered better options, in part because they have better contracts.
