CC Sabathia heading to the disabled list with elbow inflammation
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said after Saturday's game that CC Sabathia would be placed on the disabled list with elbow inflammation.

According to a source, Sabathia felt some soreness in his elbow after his start Wednesday in Detroit. He threw his regular bullpen session on Friday.

"Right now, it's a low-level concern," the source said. "Long-term, it's not a big concern."

Sabathia was seen wearing a big ice pack on his elbow Saturday morning, but Joe Girardi didn't appear to be overly concerned about the lefthander.

Leave it to the Marlins to find a new -- and very rare -- way to lose. They dropped a 1-0 decision to Arizona on Saturday on Gerardo Parra's home run off Tom Koehler on the very first pitch of the game. That doesn't happen often. Heck, according to Stats LLC, it hasn't happened in any MLB game
