Unless you are a diehard Oregon State fan or an incurable insomniac with a passion for late-night college basketball, you probably have never seen Jared Cunningham play.
That's why the Mavericks' rookie can't wait to show off his game.
Because he missed the summer league with a right hamstring injury, Cunningham has yet to see any live action for the Mavericks. But the time off has served a purpose. For a player who has never faced any sort of significant injury, Cunningham is glad he had the time to let his leg heal.
"It did set me back a little," he said of missing the Mavericks' summer camp action. "But it was a good time to rest my body. In the college season, I didn't get a lot of rest. So while I was hurt, I was able to get stronger in other areas and get back on the court."
