June 21, 2010 Dustin McGowan will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports' RotoTimes.com: A once-promising young pitcher, McGowan has been plagued by injuries of late and hasn't thrown a pitch in the majors since July of 2008. He clearly won't be pitching with Toronto anytime this season, and he's far from a guarantee to be ready by the start of next year. Still, fantasy owners should continue to keep him in the back of their minds, as he has the potential to produce if he can ever get back to good health. |

June 8, 2010 Dustin McGowan (shoulder) threw off the mound on Monday for the first time since mid-March, according to the RotoTimes.com: McGowan threw 25 pitches and reported no problems afterward. This is certainly a positive step in his recovery from shoulder surgery, though he still has a long way to go before there's any talk of him returning to Toronto's rotation. |
