According to NHL.com, the Stars have re-signed goaltender Kari Lehtonen to a three-year contract worth $10.65 million.

RotoTimes.com: Lehtonen came over from the Thrashers in February, but has only appeared in 12 games total this season due to a slew of back injuries (including two surgeries). "We were excited to acquire Kari Lehtonen in February because of his size, skill and potential to once again be a top-tier goaltender in this League," Stars' GM Joe Nieuwendyk said. "His play during the last month of the season reaffirmed our belief that he can be our starter for next year and seasons to come. We're very happy to agree to terms with Kari on this contract extension." Apparently the Stars like what they saw in limited action and feel he's the right replacement for longtime fan favorite Marty Turco. Lehtonen was 6-4-0 with a 2.81 GAA and a .911 save percentage with the Stars this past season.
